Steven C. Ball, PE, SE joins AG&E as Executive Principal and Director of Aviation

It is our pleasure to welcome Steve Ball to AG&E Structural Engenuity. Based in our Austin Office, Steve will work with our leaders to build and further develop client relationships in the aviation industry across the nation.

With more than 35 years of experience in structural engineering. Steve begins a proven track record of success in delivering large-scale, complex projects and initiatives. He has distinguished himself nationally and internationally in the structural engineering field with award-winning designs and innovative first-time structural solutions.

"Steve is sought by other structural engineers and clients around the country to develop solutions to seemingly impossible situations. His expertise will allow AG7e to significantly increase its technical depth and breath for projects across the United States and internationally," said Sanjay Agrawal, PE, SE, President and CEO of AG&E.

Steve received the prestigious AISC Special Achievement Award for the first-time use of non-orthogonal moment frames for the Tom Bradley International Terminal at Los Angeles international Airport. Ball's extensive aviation experience also includes multimillion dollar projects for San Diego International Airport and Chicago Midway International Airport.

Favorite Project

Steve has diverse experience with different project types. Some of his favorites include the Enron building in Houston (high-rise). McCormick Convention Center West Hall Expansion in Chicago (convention center), Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago (museum), Tom Bradley International Terminal Expansion at LAX, as well as the Terminal 2 Greenbuild Expansion at San Diego International Airport (aviation), and the many glass structures for the Apple Computer Campus in Cupertino.

Mentoring emerging engineering talent and inspiring creative thought that exceeds the boundaries of conventional wisdom.

Favorite Vacation

A recent multi-day motorcycle trip with his wife and two sons through Death Valley. The majestic landscaping and personal experiences are forever etched into his memories.
