AG&E names Steven C. Ball as new President

AG&E proudly announces the appointment of Steven C. Ball, PE, SE, as the company’s new President, effective October 1, 2024.

Steve Ball has served as Executive Principal and Director of Aviation at AG&E. With more than 40 years of experience in the structural engineering field, Steve has distinguished himself nationally and internationally with award-winning designs and innovative first-time structural solutions. As our new President, he succeeds Sanjay Agrawal, PE, SE, who will remain as Chief Executive Officer of AG&E.

Steve is the lead structural designer for numerous iconic and landmark structures across the United States and in Europe. The many awards Steve has received throughout his career are a result of his unique and bold solutions to complex geometries and loadings without compromising the architectural or functional intent of the structures.

“I have been fortunate throughout my career to have worked on many unique and challenging projects. I was equally fortunate to have been surrounded by a strong team of structural engineers to assist with those successes,” said Ball. “I am particularly excited to have this leadership opportunity at AG&E with its many outstanding structural engineers and nationally recognized market leaders. The size of the firm has quadrupled since my joining in 2021 and is projected to further double in size over the next year. Our goal is to be the obvious choice of structural engineering firms from a list of only a few contemporaries. I am honored for the opportunity to help AG&E achieve that goal as President of the firm.”

Along with his role as President, Steve will continue to lead AG&E’s aviation practice and will remain based in our Austin, Texas office.
