AG&E Associates, PLLC (AG&E) is pleased to announce the acquisition of ACME Steel Detailing, LLC (ACME), located in suburban Salt Lake City, Utah. The acquisition expands AG&E’s steel detailing capabilities, strengthens its integrated design services, and reinforces its position as the nation’s largest structural engineering firm focused on data centers.
“The addition of ACME to AG&E provides additional steel detailing resources for integrated EOR work,” said Sanjay Agrawal, PE, SE, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of AG&E. Traditionally handled by separate firms, services such as structural design, steel detailing, and precast design are offered in-house by AG&E, potentially shortening construction schedules by months. “It allows AG&E to establish an office in Salt Lake City—one of our key data center markets,” he continued.
“ACME is excited to join AG&E,” said Jeff Cox, founder of ACME Steel Detailing, LLC, who now serves as a Principal at AG&E. “By combining ACME’s 30 years of steel detailing experience with AG&E’s depth of expertise and resources, our team is well-positioned to provide integrated solutions and enhanced support to a broader range of clients.”
Founded in 2004, AG&E is a 350-person structural engineering firm headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with 11 offices across the United States and internationally, including locations in Colorado, Illinois, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Brazil, and India. The firm collaborates with architects, general contractors, and owners across a wide range of projects and market sectors. AG&E offers a comprehensive suite of structural sub-specialties, including integrated steel design and detailing, integrated precast, prestressed concrete design, advanced design technology, parking planning, and vibration consulting, to deliver fully integrated structural design services to its clients.
“ACME is a welcome addition to the Structural Steel Detailing team,” said Scott Goodrich, PE, Executive Principal and Director of Specialty Steel Design and Detailing. “Their acquisition expands AG&E’s ability to deliver additional services to our clients.”
“We are excited to add Jeff Cox and his staff to the AG&E family. They bring many years of experience and expertise in structural steel detailing and are highly regarded in the profession,” said Steven C. Ball, PE, SE, President of AG&E. “Their group will further strengthen our integrated steel design and delivery practice.”
AG&E welcomes ACME and looks forward to continuing to deliver fully integrated structural solutions in key data center markets.
