This acquisition expands our geographic reach in key data center, advanced manufacturing, and aviation markets in Phoenix and Las Vegas.

AG&E Associates, LLC (AG&E), the largest data center structural engineering firm in North America, announced today that United Structural Design LLC (USD) is now part of the AG&E team. This strategic acquisition marks another milestone in AG&E’s growth. It expands the firm’s geographic reach in key data center, advanced manufacturing, and aviation markets in Phoenix and Las Vegas. It also strengthens AG&E’s technical expertise and enhances its structural and integrated specialty engineering services for clients across the United States and beyond.

Since 2013, USD has built a strong reputation for providing high-quality structural engineering services through a client-focused approach. Its portfolio includes self-storage, solar, commercial, industrial, education, hospitality, and multifamily developments. As part of AG&E, USD’s experienced team will help deliver innovative structural solutions for increasingly complex projects while continuing the responsive service and technical excellence clients have come to expect.

Sanjay Agrawal, CEO of AG&E, says, “The acquisition of USD brings a talented pool of engineers who, from the beginning of our discussions, were aligned with AG&E’s vision of creating an obvious choice in structural engineering for its clients. USD’s expertise, especially in modular storage systems, is especially primed for creating modular data center solutions for the AI factories and modular airport terminals.”

Founded in 2004, AG&E is a 370-person structural engineering firm headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with 14 offices across the United States and internationally, including Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Montana, Nevada, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Brazil, and India.

Steven C. Ball, President of AG&E says, “We are excited about adding the talent from USD to our firm. That will strengthen our core offerings and expand our geographical reach. With new offices in Phoenix and Las Vegas, AG&E will be strategically positioned for servicing clients in those key regions.”

AG&E’s core market sectors for Structural Engineer of Record (SEoR) include data centers, aviation, and advanced manufacturing/semiconductor chip fabrication facilities. Additionally, AG&E’s integrated structural services platform includes precast, prestressed concrete design & detailing, structural steel design & detailing, vibration consulting, structural glass design, and other structural specialties.
