AG&E Associates, PLLC (AG&E) is proud to announce the acquisition of the precast, prestressed design and detailing assets of McCluskey Engineering Corporation (MEC) based in Naperville, Illinois. This strategic move enhances AG&E’s capabilities in precast, prestressed services and positions the company for continued growth and innovation as the largest data center structural engineer in the United States.

As part of the acquisition, AG&E welcomes Doug Colclasure, PE, SE, Co-President of MEC, to the leadership team. Doug will continue to lead the new Naperville Office of AG&E as Executive Principal, further strengthening its expertise and commitment to client service.

“We are thrilled to welcome Doug and his staff to our growing practice of integrated precast engineering and EOR design for data centers,” said Sanjay Agrawal, PE, SE, Chief Executive Officer of AG&E. “Doug is an experienced precast engineer and brings very timely augmentation of AG&E’s precast engineering resources. We look forward to a great future with Doug.”

“MEC has been providing precast specialty engineering services for more than 36 years. The acquisition of the precast experts at MEC provides instant depth and knowledge to better serve existing and new AG&E clients,” said Doug Colclasure, PE, SE.

Founded in 2004, AG&E is a 300-person structural engineering firm headquartered in Dallas, Texas with 10 offices across the United States and abroad, including Colorado, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, India, and Brazil. AG&E works with architects, general contractors, and owners on a myriad of projects in multiple market sectors. AG&E also offers structural sub-specialties such as integrated precast, prestressed concrete design, integrated steel design and detailing, advanced design technology, parking planning, and vibration consulting to provide fully integrated structural design services to its clients.

“Doug’s experience, leadership, and dedication to the precast, prestressed industry brings breadth and depth to our current capabilities,” said Al Baysek, PE, SE, CSO and Executive Principal of AG&E. “This strategic acquisition also provides us with an office in the Midwest, where the data center market continues to experience growth, and will serve as a springboard for AG&E to recruit talented engineers from the Midwest market.”

“The integration of MEC’s precast, prestressed design and detailing assets will expand AG&E’s reach and resources, allowing us to better support our mission critical clients and the demands of that challenging market,” said Steven C. Ball, PE, SE, President of AG&E. “This acquisition strengthens AG&E’s position as a leader in that field of engineering.”
