Engineer Spotlight: Matthew Homer

Today’s Engineer Spotlight is Matthew Homer, Senior Associate, Senior Project Manager. Raised in San Antonio, Texas, he now leads our office in the city he calls home, offering both local perspective and a strong passion for his work. Matthew is a respected studio leader, bringing years of diverse structural engineering experience along with a strong commitment to mentorship and support for his coworkers.

Throughout his career, Matthew has had the privilege of working on impactful projects. From hospitals, schools, and higher education buildings to recreation facilities, data centers, and airports, he’s excited to see how these structures will foster discoveries and improve the well-being of generations to come.

When it comes to travel, Matthew highly recommends Santa Fe, New Mexico for its vibrant blend of food, art, and stunning scenery. While he may not be a regular on the karaoke stage, if the moment called for it, he might belt out The Distance by Cake or More Than a Feeling by Boston, depending on his mood.
